You likely drink it yourself so I don’t need to fucking explain what it is.

Drinking Coffee

I started drinking coffee a while ago, maybe around 10 years ago when I was 16 years old give or take. We mostly drink Coffee in espresso shot form, or my favourite ways involve using milk in various ways. I love this drink, not just for its effects but in how many ways you can actually enjoy it. Brewing it differently comes with different kinds of tastes, adding cold milk, or hot, frothed or not, with ice or not, crushed or not, with cream or not, some vanilla extract and sugar or not… its the “pasta of drinks” in a way, where you can enjoy the same base ingredient with a variety of permutations.

If you have a milk frother thing, the ones which have the sieve bit built into the lid and you push up and down to froth it up, you can easily make Latte Macchiato, which would be uuuuhh “dirtied milk” in English by the way. Something like that. It’s very easy, you heat the milk and froth then pour it into a glass and then pour the coffee in after, yaaaay you did it.

Another method is using Jars and ice cubes! You pour your hot coffee right into the jar onto the ice cubes to let it cool rapidly. You then add your milk, sugar if you like and other ingredients if you like those too, and then you close the jar up and shake it vigorously. The fatter the milk is the frothier it gets!

What I really need to try one day is cold-brewing coffee, I never really did that, but I am interested in how different it tastes compared to using a mocca machine.

Drink amendments

  • Pinch of Salt: Directly over the grounds in the mocca machine, trust me on this one
  • milk that was used in Cheese Making: A more acidic taste, which can complement a coffee very well, I do use just a few splashes of it though. It may be salty!
  • Vanilla Extract: For when it has to be sweet it is a lovely addition
  • Spices: Ever tried a latte with a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon?

Vaping Coffee

Vaping Coffee works and its weird. Loading up a bit of coffee grounds into a vape you can actually draw on it and even feel an energising effect when consuming it! A few puffs and after only a few minutes you are a little more awake.

I vape coffee at around 185°C and it has a nice flowery flavour, but it oddly enough reminds me a bit of unsalted, unsweetened popcorn, or rather the after taste of it… which I actually do not mind at all!

You could also combine some of the coffee grounds with a little bit of cannabis or other materials like green tea to get a more complex flavour, but on it’s own it is a kind of fun alternative to drinking coffee (the energising effect also seems to be a little more intense but for a shorter duration of time, so unlike when it is drank, vaped coffee delivers more of a burst of energy)

The coolest thing? these grounds can be reused of course! After vaping the grounds I use them for brewing another coffee.

Gardening

The spent coffee has many uses in the garden. We drink a lot of coffee per day, thus have a lot of grounds at hand any given day. These can be added to the soil to degrade slowly over time, or put into your Vermiculture bin to make the worms eat it and use it as grit.
