I am normally not much of a tea drinker weirdly enough. It is weird, because I do enjoy it quite a lot when I do get around to drinking it! Most of the times it is the tea in those baggies that you buy in the supermarket, that kinda thing.
Since I was in the process of Getting into Vaping, I was also compelled to try out different plant materials, with Green Tea being one I read about relatively often. I ended up buying some loose Green tea and promptly loaded up my vape pen to take a few hits and see how it’s like!
Taste wise, it is great, a subtle grassy taste which is quite pleasant. It may be slightly energising too. I vape it at around 185°C to 195°C to get light clouds and I save the herb for the next time I brew teas.
And this is also how I love consuming Green Tea the most, actually brewing it! I put a good amount into one of those empty teabags you can buy and let it steep in a teapot for around 5 to 10-ish minutes before drinking with a splash of milk. Sometimes I let it steep for far longer because I frankly forget the bag in the pot, but I do not mind the taste!
The coolest thing about Green Tea is that it is weirdly relaxing without being “incapacitating”, you can just keep sipping it no problem and I don’t really have sleep issues coming from it either. Green Tea also has Theanine in it, which may be beneficial to ADHD brains, so that is a plus!
You can steep the teabag more than once by the way, I have yet to see just how much you can steep it, but one time I brewed tea with the same bag twice, and left it over night to cold brew, ready for the next morning, having a lighter and almost lemonadey taste to it, kinda like those Arizona cancer juice ice teas. I should ferment a soda with a green tea base…
In the teabags I sometimes also put a slice of lemon/orange peel to have a more citrusy note in there 😋
